Women Aware is kicking off the Fall 2014 Volunteer Training on Saturday, September 6th.
Through forty hours of training over the course of several weeks, volunteers prepare to work directly with survivors of domestic violence. Volunteers practice recognizing the dynamics and warning signs of domestic violence, helping survivors protect their safety and access services, and providing assistance that embodies Women Aware’s core values of safety, inclusiveness, and empowerment. The next training will be scheduled for Spring 2014.
If you are interested in becoming a Women Aware volunteer, you can learn more about current volunteer opportunities and fill out an application on the volunteer page.
