About our Legal Advocates:

Women Aware provides bilingual Spanish speaking legal advocates who can assist victims with options and legal rights under the NJ Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, including obtaining a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and Final Restraining Order (FRO). Advocates educate victims on dynamics of abuse, their legal options, as well as court preparation and accompaniment. Safety planning with a victim is another crucial service that the staff provides.

About our Spanish Resource and Legal Advocates:

The Esperanza Project provides assistance to Latina Immigrant victims of domestic violence in Middlesex County by providing legal options and legal information, court preparation, court accompaniment and assistance with advocacy and referrals to external community resources.

Legal Clinics:

Free monthly Legal Clinics are provided for victims of domestic violence whose pro bono family law attorneys are available, by appointment only, to provide a one on one consultation.
