Volunteer Opportunities

Domestic Violence Response Team Members Needed!

Volunteers will receive a 40-hour training to assist victims of domestic violence. Volunteers will give support and information that will empower the victims to make an informed decision based on her/his options available.

Applicants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Valid NJ Drivers License
  • Have available transportation
  • No criminal history
  • No prior history as a defendant in a domestic violence matter
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Good listener
  • Sensitivity
  • Desire to help others
  • Available to participate in trainings, as well as monthly meetings

    We have many internal volunteer opportunities from helping the children in the shelter, to accompanying victims to court to clerical work. Our application is available here.
